As magCulture Live New York 2023 nears, we meet John Sunyer, Editor of Courier, who will be presenting the recent complete relaunch of the magazine. He and Photo editor Anna Jay will be discussing how the magazine has completely reinvented its format while retaining the core idea of telling stories of modern business.

This week, the UK Crafts Councils’s Crafts magazine relaunches as a biannual, with a fresh new design and improved paper stock. Editor Debika Ray explains the thinking behind the shift in strategy, and the magazine’s new role as the centre of a membership scheme, as she looks ahead at her week.

The sudden return of Dirty Furniture—the magazine that examines a different piece of furniture each issue—offers a great example of how to adapt traditional magazine flatplanning to today’s digital context. As Huck magazine relaunches with a fresh design and larger format, Design Director Fabrizio Festa discusses his influences, the redesign of the magazine and his week ahead. ‘I like to come up with rules and restrictions and see how far I can push them. Having limitations really frees my imagination.’
