‘A growing collection of publications about the art of gardening’

Following a focus on Garden Tools last issue, this ninth edition returns to what it does best with a joyful issue dedicated to the colourful Dahlia—a perfect remedy for even the greyest of winter days. Inside, discover a botanical history of the ‘Queen of the Autumn Garden’; a gallery wall layout of some of the finest examples of dahlias in art history—from bucolic landscape paintings by Renoir and Monet, to a black and white portrait of a ten-year-old Yayoi Kusama; translated fiction by Dutch author Sarah Arnolds; four tempting tuber recipes from Omar Sanchez; and a lush photo story on Mexico’s wild dahlias rounds out the issue.

As always, a curious and pleasant read indeed, and beautifully designed too.
