Paris Living Rooms

Part of a series of three books, the 'Living Rooms' project was initially based on a photo essay commissioned for The New Yorker in 1995 on ‘New York Living Rooms’. Paris Living Rooms is the second instalment in photographer Dominique Nabokov’s series of interior photography works (others include New York and Berlin).
Nabokov’s cool-hued polaroids offer a snapshot of Parisian life in the early 2000s, with spaces inhabited by the likes of Yves Saint Laurent, Nan Goldin, Gérard Depardieu, Carine Roitfeld, Yvon Lambert, and more. The series is accompanied by the original introduction written by French interior and production designer Andrée Putman (whose own living room also features inside).
