‘Board games are beautiful’
A magazine about the craft, creativity and community of board games. Top fact, the magazine is named after (according to editor Dan Jolin) 'the oldest known board game, dating back to around 3,000 BCE in Egypt.'
The Autumn 2024 issue places special attention on games for one. Yes! Solo gaming, and what of it? As Jolin writes, 'I remember the first time I told a non-gaming friend that I often like to play board games by myself. They responded with a look that was somewhere between amusement and sympathy [...] but obviously there's no shame in solo gaming, and I've long been a fan... So I thought it about time Senet tackled this singular genre' and this turquoise-hued issue is what grew out of Dan's thought.
