Each issue of the folio-like Study hones in on a singular 'theme, talent, institution or idea' through a mix of photography, art and written reflections. Having previously editions focussed on the likes of playwright Adrienne Kennedy and internet personality Camille Bidault-Waddington, and the photographic practices of Romain Laprade and Gösta Peterson, the theme of this seventh issue is 'On New York Dwellings'—the first dedicated to a place, rather than a person.
Presented in a crisp white case, the duo of Adrian and Akari-Endo Gaut photograph and document the homes and interior spaces of numerous New Yorkers—from painter Eric N. Mack in the Financial District and architectural designer Georgia Read in the East Village, to the West village pads of writer Adam Eli and Wendy Goodman, design editor at New York Magazine. Plus, reflections on NYC from Alexa Chung, Violette d'Urso and Zoe Ruffner.
