Nursing Nosebleeds is a new limited-edition DIY fanzine, edited and art directed by Ava Frances J, celebrating underground punk artists, musicians, and bands of the past and present. Satisfyingly scrappy—this debut consists of 30 folded pieces of A4 baby blue lightweight paper, staple bound, and printed entirely in black ink—it’s a handcrafted, ephemeral and nostalgic antidote to the mainstream music magazines primarily focusing their efforts on fast-paced and ad-driven digital channels.

Loosely themed around ‘sentimentality’, inside you’ll find an interview with Eric Hammer, vocalist of Pennsylvanian hardcore band Frail; a look at cult classic ‘Grindhouse’, a relic of early-2000s absurdist cinema that perfectly captured the zeitgeist following the turn of the century; as well as a conversation with Lunachicks vocalist Theo Kogan. Elsewhere, Ava examines the influx of contemporary musicians hailing from the American South and interrogates the extent to which hardcore musicians owe their fans a consistent sound.

Limited edition of 75 copies, with a baby pink branded pin badge inside.
