‘The ocean outside, the ocean inside’ says the tagline, in part, it’s safe to assume, because the paper used in this magazine about the sea is made from algae (from algal blooms found in at risk lagoons). There’s a lot of blue, a bit like a holiday.

This is the 21st issue of Sirene, marking a new phase for the seasoned purveyor of the great outdoors. Inside, you’ll find features on the Yin and Yang curves of California’s rocky coastline; Paul Watson’s life-affirming ecological mission; plus, a sensual photographic series dedicated to ‘the myth of sirens’, as captured through the feminine lens of Clara Morberg; as well as a nostalgic ode to the Greek island of Ios, home to German art director Christian Diener.
