The uniquely Anglo-Greek zine returns for its fifth edition—continuing to unravel queer Greek narratives, from ancient myth to present-day moments. Its title, The Boy is Beautiful, is lifted from a thousand year old vase inscription and still striking in its angular Greek-style typography.
Printed in its trademark rich terracotta orange, this issue is titled ‘Heterotopias’, and ‘explores queer spacemaking as a an act of survival, belonging and revelry’, in the words of editor Leonidas Liolios. In full Dionysian spirit the issue highlights the artists, designers, writers, poets, and drag performers who create, inhabit or transform queer spaces, tracing their histories, cultural significance and resilience as places of community and resistance.
