First published in 2024, each issue of the quarterly Zeitung adopts its publication date as its title, capturing the zeitgeist of the moment whilst being mindful of ‘what is yet to come.’ Zeitung provides an antidote to the acceleration of the news cycle in our contemporary digital landscape, finding catharsis in the longevity of the paper page. Expect to find an eclectic assemblage of creative writing, interviews, reviews, art and photography inside.
The fifth and chunkiest issue to date marks a change in format for Zeitung, aligning with the issue’s emphasis on innovation. This time it’s the edition’s 32 page insert that bears its publication date (‘03.Jun.2025’), with the main segment titled ‘0.00208DAYS’ after the mere three minutes it takes On Running to manufacture a pair of trainers with their impressive new LightSpray technology. Alongside a synergistic conversation between London design studio Alaska Alaska and the On product design team, the issue also includes the likes of Romain Lafarge, whose futuristic designs have captured the hearts of superstars from Zendaya to Beyoncé; genre-bending musicians and visionary artists Money Lang, Dyvik Kahlen, Matilde Solbiati, Fatima Al Qadiri, AngelNumber8, Mouyakabi Diomande, Axel Kolb, Ilkka Halso and Magnolia Pink; plus, plenty more.
