Born out of Angel & Z Radio, a New York-based skate and graffiti podcast that first aired in the summer of 2020, the 2022 launch of Living Proof magazine marked a transition in medium, aiming ‘to continue the traditional practice of printed media within graffiti culture.’ Combining interviews with heavily contrasted flash photography, each issue of Living Proof spotlights key figures from the New York skate and street art scene and beyond.
Headlining their eleventh issue is the influential American rapper Earl Sweatshirt, who first made his name as a member of Odd Future, the underground hiphop and streetwear collective founded in 2007 by Tyler, The Creator. Also in conversation: Japanese photographer Jiro Konami and Angel Cheng; American rapper Denzel Curry and Daniel Soprano; notorious 1980s New York graffiti artist CAP and Reboe Lne; Canadian chef, actor (‘The Bear’), and frontman of hardcore band ‘Pig Pen’ Matty Matheson and David Jaycox; plus, plenty more inside.
