‘Pints, piss ups and more!’

Magoo is a new magazine imbued with the energy of a British night out, designed for individuals that: ‘Can’t resist the call of the pub, or the pull of the club.’ Borne of a frustration with polished and laboriously lofty media, Magoo is anathema to earnest grind culture and perfectionism with increasingly diminutive rewards.

This inaugural issue gives readers a rundown of the great British night out through a variety of playful features, offering several prospective routes by which the night might get underway. Kicking things off with getting ready and pre-drinks, Princess Diana is subject to a Magoo ‘Eastover’—an East End makeover—into the Queen of Dalston, and the team present their starter pack for an impeccable evening. Later on down the line, party goers can expect an anonymous clubber’s investigation into ‘London’s worst kept secret’—a club in Soho called The Box, an ode to making a pub your local, and an interview with bouncer (aka glamorous host) Freddy.

Plus, a whole host of other features accompanied throughout by ‘Magoo cards’ complete with thoughts penned by punters, and conceptual art direction inspired by an unfortunate 1992 chip shop fire in which a quintessential 80s shell suit caught alight.
