Port continues to grow into its redesign, which sees its static logo replaced with hand drawn versions by each of its six cover stars Ethan Hawke, Kate Winslet, Benedict Cumberbatch, Lakeith Stanfield, Richard E. Grant, and Jodie Turner-Smith.

For the Autumn/Winter 2025 issue, loosely themed around ‘Discovery,’ Port pays tribute to the patient, often tangential path of uncovering the world through story, memory and art in an age of shortening attention spans. The cover stories featured in this issue speak to this feeling of exploration: Benedict Cumberbatch explores grief and fatherhood with author Max Porter; Ethan Hawke speaks to musician Hamilton Leithauser about truth, performance, and the space between them; Lakeith Stanfield discusses a career forged through defiance; with additional insights from the other cover stars.

On the Journal:
Matt Curtis discusses the logo concept: ‘We tried a couple of handwritten versions in the studio, and then just asked people on the shoots to write a few. We felt if we didn’t like it after issue one, we would drop it. But we liked it. We feel there is more to do before it gets too familiar.’
