Heavyweight System explores ‘with style and substance’ the dialogues at the heart of the global fashion industry. This extra chunky Autumn/Winter 2025/2026 issue is dedicated to fashion’s visual documentation and dissemination, stemming from the notion, posed by editor Tish Weinstock in the issue’s opening letter, that ‘more than ever, our relationship to fashion is being shaped by image as it is by clothes’.

On the cover, the worlds of fine art, fashion and celebrity collide, featuring a layered photograph captured by industry titan Juergen Teller, in which Basquiat’s omnipresent likeness is reflected off of a digital billboard for Dior’s Menswear Spring/Summer 2026 campaign. This complex visual language is explored further inside the issue, as Juergen’s peers and contemporaries reflect on their personal highlights from across his prolific career.

Elsewhere, a plethora of tastemakers—amongst them the likes of Inez & Vinoodh, Carlijn Jacobs, David Sims, Nadia Lee Cohen, the Sorrenti family, Malick Bodian and Angela Hill—step out from behind the camera to discuss their personal practice and reflect on the evolving industry. Accompanying the abundance of interviews in the issue, you’ll also find features on Graces Mews, the new photography gallery making a splash in the residential South London neighbourhood of Camberwell; Charlotte Cotton dissects the images integral to Phoebe Philo’s exertion of soft power; and, Charlie Porter praises the playful and wearable art of Louise Bourgeois.
