Stylist 10th anniversary
Free magazine Stylist celebrates its tenth anniversary this week. First published on 7 October 2009, the weekly quickly established its credentials as a ‘freemium’ publication: well-produced and creatively ambitious, it has seen off competition from other free titles distributed at rail stations and airports across the UK.
To mark the birthday, the magazine publishes a set of ten covers today, each featuring a celebrity holding an earlier cover featuring themselves – think sleeveface. It’s a clever way to look back at highlights from the last ten years – we see the original covers in each new cover – while also being teasingly intriguing.
And yes, the new images are the real celebs; they feature inside the issue, each looking back at their last ten years.

Meanwhile, there’s no standing still for the team. The first issue of the magazine’s eleventh year will be guest edited by Hilary and Chelsea Clinton.
