America gets Stack

Independent magazine subscription service Stack has just announced its US service. This expansion is being launched by founder Steven Watson and my Colophon colleague Andrew Losowsky, and promises to provide a local take on the clever premise behind the service.

And what is that service? You pay a subscription and receive a package of magazines/fanzines/bits every month, or in the US every couple of months. It’s ideal for anyone keen to discover new publications or try out things your might not usually buy. Given the scale of the country, the US service is an ideal way to find out what’s happening elsewhere. Check previous posts here, here and here to see the type of thing Stack has been sending UK subscribers.

The first Stack America mail out will include the new issue of Meatpaper, San Francisco’s journal of meat, and the latest Megawords, from Philadelphia. I don’t know Megawords, but Meatpaper is worth the subscription alone.
