Meet the speaker: Dan Crowe

This year’s magCulture Live, London is celebrating indie magazines. As the day approaches, we’ll be highlighting our guest speakers one by one.

Dan Crowe has an enviable record of indie launches: as well as co-founding Port in 2011, he has been responsible for such indie highlights as Zembla and Avaunt. His experience means he has an enviable record of balancing the competing demands of creativity and economics.

The first edition of new title Inque (cover, above), his latest collaboration with design partner Matt Willey, is published this month. The new literary/arts title is a major new project, promising an annual schedule of ten issues—the final one will appear in 2030.

We’re really excited to be hearing from Dan about the origins of Inque, and are looking forward to a preview of the first issue, due in November.
