New issues, old favourites

A quick update on some recently published magazines: from left to right, above: Wallpaper*'s first redesign since Tony Chambers moved from Creative Director to Editor has arrived. Surprisingly quiet, the magazine now has a very minimalist sans serif-based design. Worth keeping an eye on. The latest Varoom has the usual mix of illustrators' work and well-written interviews and reviews (including one of thisisamagazine.com's most recent print project) presented in Non-Format's strong but respectful design; broadsheet format The Drawbridge has an issue themed on Rumours out now, with more space given to photography to help break up the pages; and US skate culture title The Journal reaches issue 20 with another strong mix of drawing, photography and writing.
