Despite the ubiquity of printed and digital images, we still need fresh inspiration. A new range of magazines offer image-orientated content and the opportunity for surprise, away from the limits of our personalised algorithms. Here, we look at the sixth issue of Sindrom, featuring the colour Blue.

This new magazine is a record of an event of the same name held last year in Paris. Printing Fashion casts a welcome intellectual eye over magazines and their role in research and history, with discussions opening up some fascinating topics around the theme of ‘Time’.

This new magazine invited 12 contributors to offer a series of single, full-page images that sum up 2021—the first of an annual series to span this decade. It’s a rich visual experience; ‘Frankly, it’s a relief to be spared some of the attempts at explanation demended in other magazines…’
