The beautiful looking Motto Berlin store has a special presentation of Japanese magazines starting this Saturday, 28th March. Titles including Utrecht, Art Beat Publisher, Press Pop Gallery, Foil, Cosmic Wonder Free Press, Casa Brutus, Here and There, Mute, Record, Nieves...

Andrew, Mike and I selected 111 independent magazines for the ‘We Make Magazines’ book and exhibition at Colophon2009, then those 111 magazines chose their favorite inspirations. Here’s an imperfect but I hope useful video of that room at the Casino.

Colophon2009 wasnt the only celenration of magazines going on last week. In Tokyo, the first Magazine Library event took place, pictured above. The Magazine Library presents magazines from around the world for visitors to read – independent and mainstream titles.
