Wired UK

The November 2016 issue of Wired UK features ‘Past and Present Dreams of the Future,’ an exclusive portfolio of beautiful images by photographer Benedict Redgrove that looks at NASA’s hardware of the past and the future. The 16-page high-gloss section shows famous items like the Lunar Rover Vehicle from the Apollo programme as well as futuristic ‘robonauts,’ designed to provide access to hazardous environments.

The story has been a long-term project for magazine and photographer; Redgrove started in 2010 and will have spent eight years on it by the time he completes it in 2018 (to date the magazine’s photo editor Steve Peck has already exchanged 378 emails on the project). The selection of images in the magazine — a small edit of the total work — is accompanied by an essay from Astronomer Royal, Lord Martin Rees.
