‘It is written in English, but its heart French’
The international travel and style review lets us imagine the holidays of our dreams. Relaunched by Paris-based creative director Franck Durand in 2014 after a 37-year hiatus, Holiday is a modern classic built on its ’50s heyday. This issue marks ten years since the magazine's relaunch and the team celebrate with a densely packed ode to, in their words, ‘the ultimate city’—New York.
Guest edited by renowned stylist Camilla Nickerson (of US Vogue fame), the large pages are well-suited to capturing the city's cinematic allure, brought to life through the eyes and words of Marc Jacob, Joan Didion, Otessa Moshfegh, Max Farago, Joel Meyerowitz, Francesco and Alba Clemente, and others. Plus, a feature on doormen, a hotdog recipe, snippets of typical New Yorker habits, and the cover of Holiday's 1959 New York issue on the last page.
