'A Journal of Wanderings and Wonderings from the British Isles'
Gorgeously put-together, the 'zine-esque' Weird Walk tells tales of folklore, music and poetry from across the British Isles, across time. What started simply as a group of friends walking, expanded into 'active engagement' with the land and its history — both real and imagined.
The pleasingly baby pink sixth edition for 2023 (issue two was pink too) features a conversation with Jeremy Deller, Turner Prize-winning artist, on how England and the countryside is not what you think it is, woodland wanderings into Savernake Forest in search of the Big Belly Oak, and the trespasses of Right to Roam, a peaceful protest on Englefield Estate, Berkshire.
