The Italian cycling title Alvento takes a people-centric approach to the sport by celebrating those who have ‘chosen bikes as a means of expressing themselves.’ As for the name? It’s Italian for ‘in the wind’, its many uses in cycling (and everyday) chat outlined on the final page of the magazine.
Previously published exclusively in Italian, the independent cycling title now aims to ‘go a bit further’ by publishing in English. With their content—profiling cyclists, covering races, and sharing two-wheeled journeys from around the world—the magazine remains firmly Italian, with this international version translating all the same features from the original Italian edition.
In this issue: Stefano Francescutti’s escapade from the mouth to the source of the River Po in three days, a deep dive into the aspirations of 19-year-old rising talent Paul Seixas, a visit to cycling mecca Bar Centrale, meditations on boredom—‘in the eye of the beholder’—and more.
