‘A magazine without words’
Bill is a beautifully produced magazine of photographic stories, particularly of the fashion variety, edited and designed by Julie Peeters (the same people behind EYES). In order to prioritise visual reading without distraction, there is no accompanying text to the images, giving an archival feel to each issue.
This fifth issue is particularly tactile, featuring a dozen different papers of varying weights and textures and giving the images—a typically dreamy set spanning sandy beaches, bagels, pantry shelves, polaroids and horses—their own distinct qualities. Many pages have also been left uncut as folded sheets, with some needing to be cut by hand to reveal more images inside.
