Promising a more cerebral (and arguably very particular) approach to the world of cinema, A Rabbit’s Foot is led by producer, writer, and filmmaker Charles Finch. For this eighth issue, as its dramatic femme fatale-esque cover suggests, the theme is ‘Film Noir’. Hitchock's storyboards are embraced, Charles Vidor's masterpiece Gilda is dissected and a hidden made-up word lurks within the pages, promising a case of champagne from the editor if discovered by the reader.
And the name? Glad you asked. It comes from an Ernest Hemingway book, ‘For luck you carried… a rabbit’s foot in your right pocket… the claws scratched in the lining of your pocket and you knew your luck was still there.’
