A Shade Colder #4

195 x 255 mm, 72 pages
Tallinn, Estonia (English-language)
Annual
Founders: Charlotte Halpern & Bertrand Houdin
Editors: Kaarin Kivirähk and Keiu Krikmann
Design directors:  Martina Gofman and Johanna Ruukholm

Launched last year at a critical juncture in eastern Europe, A Shade Colder offers a nuanced look into Estonian art and beyond, with a collection of stories that deal with and address the complexities of colonial history, geopolitics and identity within Estonian art and culture. It’s a spectacular piece of editorial design too.

This fourth issue is themed ‘Shifting Timelines’ and features Maria Arusoo, Eda Tuulberg, Aro Velmet, Olga Balashova, Neal Cahoon, Sebastian Cichocki, Miina Hujala, Zhanna Kadyrova, Solvita Krese, Tanel Rander, Dieter Roelstraete, Jaak Juske, Angela Maasalu, Brigit Arop, Mari Vallikivi, and Thomas Röske.

As mentioned on the belly band, A Shade Colder is donating 50% of its sales from this issue to the Ukrainian Emergency Art Fund.
