‘Dedicated to emotional exploration’
Combining slow fashion, art and conversations on mental health, each issue of the small-format and introspective Tummy Ache is dedicated to exploring a single emotion through essays, interviews, poetry and more, with the aim of challenging ‘a culture of emotional stagnation’.
Following their debut focussing on vulnerability, this sophomore edition is the Jealousy issue—an intriguing and highly relatable choice. Alongside interviews with some bigger names in novelist Elif Shafak and photographer Juno Calypso, the green-tinged emotion is explored through writing on sibling rivalry, it-girls and obsession, sobriety, and on-screen swimming pools.
