‘A magazine without words’
Bill is a beautifully produced magazine of photographs, curated and designed by Belgian creative director Julie Peeters. In order to prioritise visual reading without distraction, there is no text accompanying the images, giving an archival feel to each issue.
Each page switches effortlessly from colour to black and white, figurative to abstract, sharp to blurred. The photographs aren’t new shoots, but archive material ranging from single images to longer series. The paper stocks change throughout too, adding to the sense of variety. Issue six includes work from Rosemarie Trockel, Hana Miletić, Line-Gry Hørup, Yuji Agematsu, Claude Closky, Blommers Schumm, Beat Streuli, Adrianna Glaviano, Julie Peeters, RareBooksParis, Thorben Gröbel, and Michael Schmidt. It also includes a piece of mirrored card so the reader can add themselves to the run of images.
