Published by a non-profit collective, each issue of arts annual Speciwomen focuses exclusively on women and femme artists through a series of interviews, with the aim ‘to shift the representation of womxn in the arts.’
Guest curated by artist and writer Coco Fusco, this fifth edition is a special Cuba-focussed issue consisting of essays, portfolios, and detailed conversations between artists and critics from Cuba and its diaspora: Susana Pilar Delahante Matienzo, Getrudis Rivalta, Suset Sánchez, Alejandra Glez, Glenda León, Solveig Font Martínez and more. Each piece has been published bilingually, with the original Spanish text sitting alongside the English translation on the page.
