‘The Magazine for Cannabis Lovers'
Created by an all-women team in the US, Broccoli is one of several magazines launched in response to the country’s new approach to cannabis—21 states have now legalised the drug and a further 37 allow it for medical use.
Broccoli 's twentieth edition makes for a bittersweet landmark, as it also happens to be their final issue. ‘After many fruitful seasons sprouting editorial seeds into glorious, heady, story-filled gardens, it’s time for our final harvest,’ writes editor-in-chief Anja Charbonneau, with the team now focussing on their other publishing projects, including the relatively new Mushroom People and Catnip.
They bid farewell with Paula Codoner's gorgeous spectrum of flora on the cover, and pieces on the Northern Lights; Thailand's green gardens; mythical swans; a mother-daughter cannabis talk; and five short stories of weed futurism inside.
