‘Voices and creative minds from the Arab worlds’
The bilingual (and brilliantly titled) I Came For Cous Cous returns to our shelves with an architecture-focussed fifth issue aiming, in the words of editor Mouna Anajjar, ‘to push back against the décréation of the contemporary world’.
Opening with the return of their ‘Dans le Taxi’ segment—quick-fire conversations between architects and other creatives in a car—there's also an interview with actor Lina Soualem on her childhood home in Palestine, a feature on the hydraulic engineering of oases, and a photo series on temporary housing in the Moroccan village of Aïe Othmane, printed on delicate translucent pages.
