‘Satisfy curiosity’

Moi is a new small-format print publication devoted to ‘the many-layered dimensions of pleasure’, providing a refreshingly uninhibited and intellectually stimulating exploration of sexuality from a majority female perspective.

Previously digital-only, this third edition marks the magazine’s impressive transition into print, adding a final ‘layer of sensory pleasure to the Moi experience’.  Establishing a clear editorial and creative vision—think stylised typography, colourful page design and a balanced blend of fiction, features, reviews, interviews and photo essays—‘The Vintage Issue’ takes readers on a nostalgic journey through the five senses. Commencing with ‘touch’, Madelene Kadziela, founder of the contemporary ‘sensual society’ Nocturnal Animals, maps out a history of sex parties; photographer Abbey White’s photo essay ‘Strange Affair’ pairs ephemeral encounters with religious iconography; and Melinda Temple investigates how ‘the legacy of earlier norms continues to shape modern societal expectations of women.’

Elsewhere, an interview with red-lipped queen Poppy King examines the latest iteration of the cosmetics brand she first launched as a teenager, a profile on the creatives behind The Sunseeker hotel in Byron Bay takes readers behind the scenes of its 1980s motel inspired renovation, and a conversation with food and travel writer Bec Vrana Dickinson toasts the art of carefree snacking, accompanied by two delicious aperitivo recipes.
