‘The best from the worlds of contemporary art, design and architecture’
Founded by NY-native Sarah Harrelson in 2011, Cultured bridges the glamour and intrigue of Hollywood with art, fashion and design. This ‘Entertainers’ edition for February/March 2026 is devoted to the ways in which screens—from mobile phones to public cinemas—continue to irreparably reshape our experience of the world around us.
Commencing with a look at the creative influences of six contemporary directors—amongst them Harry Lighton, whose directorial debut ‘Pillion’ made waves at the 78th Cannes Film Festival—the issue also boasts revealing conversations with the likes of cover stars Odessa A’Zion, Tessa Thompson and Connor Storrie, alongside exploring trending topics such as a burgeoning interest in writing for stage; the sexual phenomenon of ‘gooning’, as chronicled in Daniel Kolitz’s viral Harper’s article ‘The Goon Squad’; and Hollywood’s IP era, exploring the lucrative business of creating adaptations and spin-offs for screen.
Plus, the annual Young Hollywood Portfolio returns, introducing seven rising talents who share the challenges they have had to overcome to ‘make it’ today.
