‘Transformation through movement’
Founded in 2018, Human Shift is dedicated to the human stories that ‘inspire movement—of body, mind and energies’. Positioned at the intersection of spirituality, ‘culture, style, sports and wellness’, it features conversations, essays, photo editorials and fiction, alongside bitesize affirmations and blessings. Each issue is dedicated to a chakra, with issue seven allocated to the seventh chakra: ‘The Crown’.
Organised into six sections—‘The Seventh Chakra’, ‘Ah’, ‘Unity’, ‘Consciousness’, ‘Divinity’, and ‘Thought’—the issue guides you through the cultural origin and essence of our relationship with Ajna through meditative writing and photography. Highlights include a reflection from philosopher Yi-Ping Ong on her ‘situationship’ with the AI chatbot Claude; a conversation between Dr. Melissa Carter and Natalie Kuhn, discussing ancestry and human connection; and an editorial shot by Rudi Lewis, exploring various crown motifs dreamt up by prop designer Claude Neron.
