Pina is a fascinating publication, presented as two 'exhibitions' from Aad Raza and Gala Porras-Kim, reshaping how we perceive concepts around us. Immediately the reader is shown a legal letter to the British Museum addressing the welfare concerns of a Ka sculpture being presented to the public. The conversation between Porras-Kim and a lawyer figures out how contemporary laws can find a bridge with Ancient Egyptian beliefs. Raza discusses with physicist, Karen Barad, spatial temporalities; how far we can even trace back the surfaces of a magazine to the radiation from around the world affecting trees that then produce the very paper we read on.
