‘True Sporting Soul’
New launch Practice is the latest addition in an expanding field of publications exploring the intersection of sports, style and culture. Due to be published on a biannual schedule, it’s a beautifully put together visual-lead tome, combining fresh fashion and photo editorials with features spotlighting often underrepresented sporting subcultures.
Titled ‘Boom or Bust’, this inaugural issue for June 2026 approaches sport as a discursive arena, replicating life’s ups and downs, as well as amplifying widespread societal debates surrounding identity, nationalism and community. For editor TJ Sidhu, the connecting thread between this edition’s features is ‘a sense of discovery’, whether sought out in the hallowed halls of Milan’s Palazzo Spinola—home to Milan’s ancient fencing club, Società del Giardino—on a sandy Sicilian pitch, or in the unpredictable waters of the River Thames. Choose between four covers, including our favourite: ‘Starboy’ Bukayo Saka, who is also profiled inside.
