Christmas at magCulture

The tree is up and the lights have been switched on! Here are our Christmas plans, including a card-making workshop, a range of gift cards, a gift wrap service and holiday opening hours.

Greetings cards
Ever since the Shop opened in December 2015, visitors have asked if we can sell greetings cards alongside magazines. With many people buying mags as gifts, we took note and decided to work with some of our favourite illustrators on a range of cards suitable for any occasion.

Each design has been created in response to our #welovemagazines tag line, with one card each by established names Alice Bowsher (who already created the magCulture people graphics) and Supermundane as well as recent graduates Sarah Wickings and Tegan Price. All four are available from the Shop and online.

Wrapping paper
We’ve also received a lot of love for our terrazzo floor over the last two years. We use it as our Instagram background when we shoot new magazines, have featured it on our postcards, and it even appeared as the end papers for an issue of Eye magazine. And now it’s available as wrapping paper (above)! (please note this is not currently available online)

Saturday 16 December
To celebrate the new cards and paper, plus the magCulture Shop’s second birthday and the festive season, we’ll be swinging open our doors this coming Saturday, 16 December, for a Christmas shopping event, complete with bubbly and yuletide treats.

Every purchase over £15 will receive a free card from the range, plus a sheet of the new paper which we can gift wrap your mags in.

Card-making Workshop
That same day, Saturday 16th, we’ll also be welcoming Collage Club to the shop for a festive Christmas card-making workshop from 2pm-4pm. All materials are provided, plus bubbly, snacks and heaps of fun!

Christmas opening hours at the magCulture Shop
We’re taking a break. The Shop will close at 5pm on Saturday 23 December, and re-open after the holidays on Tuesday 3 January 2018. All online orders placed during this period will be fulfilled as soon as we re-open in January.
