In the design press this month

As well as redesigning itself, the April issue of Creative Review has a major profile of designer David James, including details of his typographic work on Another Man and the earlier designs for ABeSea magazine. My column looks at how certain magazines mark their time, my chosen current example being Fantastic Man.

Issue 184 of Grafik looks at information design, picking out editorial examples from The Guardian and Monocle. An interview with Guardian graphics editor Michael Robinson about the daily pressure of diagram creation is particularly interesting, and will be familiar to anyone used to working at speed.
