Out now: Off Life #4
Off Life is a free comic published in Bristol and distributed to clubs and galleries around the UK.
As well as featuring the work of new comic artists, it runs interviews with some of the big names in comic art – previous issues have featured Adrian Tomine and Tom Gauld. In issue four editor Daniel Humphry has turned the spotlight on three younger comic artists (Hannah Berry, Jack Teagle and Isabel Greenberg) who together discuss the state of comics today. It’s a pleasantly optimistic conversation that sits well with the beautiful comic work featured in the issue.
I’m not the biggest comic fan but Off Life is a highly persuasive publication about the form. If you can’t find a copy out and about you can buy it here.
Featured work by Alexander Norris (top) and Will Elliott.
