An abbreviation of ‘A Kind Tribute’, AKT is an open-bound XL design annual from Belgium spotlighting the work of artisans, artists and architects; its pages are filled with earth-toned interiors, soft fabrics and regional architecture.
Inspired by the old idiom ‘labour of love’, issue six seeks to provide a process-driven antidote to the impatient ease of artificial intelligence. Drawing attention to the significance of blank space, the issue is a masterclass in ‘reading between the lines’—from the cream canvas of Andy Kerstens English countryside guest house to the late ceramicist Pierre Culot’s quietly charged vessels.
