Beauty Papers is where the world’s leading artists, photographers, writers and cultural commentators play, provoke, create, confuse and inspire.
This is the high-gloss ‘Hollywood Issue’ for Autumn 2025, toasting a decade in print. Unlike the chic and petit ‘bookish’ format of the previous edition, issue 13 returns to its usual large format for maximum cinematic impact, with the silver screen also referenced in the thoughtful design of the shimmering silver spine and page edges. As ever, imagery takes centre stage, featuring clever fashion editorials inspired by iconic movies including ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and ‘Valley of the Dolls’, and performed by a starry cast from the likes of supermodel and It girl Alex Consani to Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett.
Toward the back of the issue—aptly aligned with end credits—you’ll find conversations with photographer Whitney Hubbs and costume designer Arianne Phillips; a reflection on Laurence Ellis’s arresting Mulholland Drive series ‘Sunshine’ by Sayori Radda; a three-page spread of apocalyptic LA auto-fiction by one ambiguous ‘Brittainy Easton Ellis’; plus, Bruce Gilden on photographing real life.
