Hunger is the fashion biannual from photographer and publisher Rankin, and part of the Dazed publishing network.
This Autumn 2026 edition is Hunger’s 40th issue, celebrated inside with a nostalgic feature from editor-in-chief and fashion photographer Rankin, harking back to the pivotal role magazines played in culture in the ‘90s, meshing experimental art, culture, style, and photography. The feature traces the history of Dazed & Confused, the magazine he founded alongside Jefferson Hack in 1991, and doubles down on Hunger’s mission statement: ‘Forty issues in, we still want to surprise you.’
As ever, there’s a plethora of covers to choose from, featuring the likes of Tinie Tempah, Leon Bridges, Lily Nova, Rei Ami, Paul Bettany, Mnek, Oswald Boateng, Xolo Maridueña, and Judy Clarkson, accompanied by interviews inside. Elsewhere, ‘Stranger Things’ star Gaten Matarazzo discusses his West End debut in ‘Rent’; Welsh actor Tom Rhys Harries delves into his upcoming role in ‘Clayface’, a new horror directed by James Watkins; and actor Mark Strong reflects on his career playing some of cinema’s most iconic villains. Plus, photographers Vadym Yatsun, Petros Kouiouris, Jordan Rossi, Chloé Pemberton, Matt Moorhouse, and Charlie Cummings contribute an abundance of playful fashion and beauty editorials.
