Cabana is a heavyweight publication exploring the way people relate to interiors, from the grandest rooms to the smallest details. Every issue features a range of specially designed textiles on the front cover. In their words: ‘The German word gemütlich summons the Cabana vision, conveying an inviting feeling of warmth and sense of space. Whether it be a palazzo, a flat, a folly or a hut, the Cabana mood is an appreciation of the sensory and experiential characteristics of interiors.’
This 26th issue for Fall 2026 debuts a selection of menswear fabrics across the covers—courtesy of Italian fashion house Brunello Cucinelli—and scours the globe for evocative interiors and the stories behind them: ‘It feels like a triumph of armchair travelling,’ editor-in-chief Martina Mondadori reflects in her editorial.
Inside, art historian Marco Mansi shares the astrological motifs and influences of Europe’s great houses, delving into the ubiquity of the occult and discovering elaborate tarot decks, amulets and obsidian mirrors; Sophie Goodwin sits in conversation with Turkish fashion designer Dilara Findikoglu to discuss her new collection, the ‘cult of celebrity’, and where she feels most inspired; Yake Kassamali explores the art deco interiors of The Hill House, designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and his wife Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh; and Goodwin speaks to the newly appointed Director at the National Theatre, Indhu Rubasingham, about her vision for its future, presented alongside a series of nostalgic archival photos from the 1970s of the iconic Thames-side building.
