We do love a magazine about magazines! Printing Fashion is a must-read for anybody interested in the role of the magazine today. Created and produced by students on the Fashion Studies MA at The New School Parsons, Paris, in collaboration with Justin Morin and Marco Pecorari at the university, the publication is based on a public symposium held annually in Paris.
This sixth issue explores Technique, both in fashion production and print production. Eye magazine editor John L Walters is interviewed about his editorial technique; Pin-Up founder Felix Burrcihter and creative director Ben Ganz reflect on the DNA of their magazine; Mirko Borsche discusses collaboration in publishing; and the founders of MacGuffin and Cose Journal compare notes on editorial method and the possibilities of obsessing over a single thing.
Plus plenty of smaller contibrutuions on the centrefold, 1960s/1970s Lebanese magazines, and Molly Apple and Merde magazine.
