Originally launched off the back of the three years of online stories, the lovely lot behind Famous for my Dinner Parties return with their fourth issue, a vivid pink, loosely conceived ‘concept zine’ exploring the technological changes humans have initiated over the past 500 years—in the hope that will help us make sense of today’s tech challenges. This serious aim is leavened by the busy, bright and playful page design, and witty images—the issue open with a disturbing photograph of a bowl of cornflakes steaming after having milk poured on them.

Though this magazine’s pages are small in stature, the team use them fully to explore food as it fits into larger cultural and societal issues—through lush photography and illustration abound, this is not a recipe or cookery magazine.

Expect a rich spectrum of stories, ranging from the evolution of hippie food to pieces about the religious restrictions on food, and about the use of nostalgia to sell breakfast.
