‘The ocean outside, the ocean inside’
To emphasise Sirene’s commitment to the sea, it’s printed on a paper made from algae (from algal blooms found in at risk lagoons). There’s a lot of blue, a bit like a holiday.
Sirene issue 22 celebrates the 175th anniversary of Herman Melville’s epic novel ‘Moby Dick’ with a close-up examination of it by Professor Richard J. King.
Elsewhere, discover the traditions of the Catalan patí boat; explore the Cyclades channels near Crete; and enjoy a gripping travel feature tracking a team of canoeists as they navigate the open waters around Taiwan.
