Brown Boyz in the Sun is an erotic photography zine devoted to the male and LGBTQ+ brown queer experience.
Issue two is centred around ‘Hairstories’, teasing out the knotty relationship between hair, identity, politics and desire. Aptly titled ‘Furry Tales’, the edition features intimate portraits of five nude men, accompanied by short written profiles delving into their personal relationship with hair—both their own and on others. Elsewhere, the issue takes a retrospective look at infamously hairy Bollywood stars, and Bangladeshi photographer Ruhul Abdin speaks candidly about attitudes towards bodily hair in Dhaka.
