Born out of an installation challenging preconceptions surrounding Afros and Black female identity, German lifestyle biannual Gurlz with Curlz centres the lives and experiences of Black women in German-speaking countries.
Previously published in German only, this fifth issue is the magazine's first bilingual edition, as the team aims to connect to an international audience and spotlight stories from Germany and beyond. And within the mirror foiled covers, there's plenty more to reflect on—interviews, profiles, photography and more celebrating the diversity of Black female perspectives, identities and culture at large.
