It had to happen… with David McKendrick, one of the most charming Scottish chaps out there, at the helm, there was always going to be a Scottish Issue of Paperboy. And here it is!

Cue a vivid, tartan cover, Nessie, bubblegum, delicacies such as Irn Bru and ‘well fired roll’, Europe’s strongest man, naked people in a field… All as tastefully prepared and presented as you would expect. Plus great reading from Liv Siddall, who relates her mother’s experience of a Scottish childhood; and from Jonathan Faiers, sharing a brief history of tartan on screen.

And of course plenty of classic Paperboy fare: a fashion shoot on ladders, another featuring lost gloves…

On the Journal:
At work with David McKendrick: ‘I don’t want it to sound too basic, but I drew up a wish list of all the great accomplished people I have worked with over the years, and I dreamt a little, and in an old fashioned manner got on the phone, told them about Paperboy, and the idea and begged the question “will you be part of this?” and much to my surprise, everyone seemed up for it.’
