A special Swiss bound edition published by Process Magazine, ‘Objects as Archive’ explores how the material world we interact with can shape our creative output, inspired by the woven archive used by textile artist Sheila Hicks to record the materials she encounters on a daily basis.
This symbiotic relationship between objects—even those we deem unassuming—and output, is explored through interviews with the likes of 3D artist Sugee Wee on her homeware project SAD studio, Hanan Amir, chef and founder of culinary studio Bono Dining, and Zulamran Hilmi on his cultural project Kitab Basah.
Elsewhere, the edition features an essay framing skate culture as an antidote to toxic productivity, an exploration of the ‘implied hierarchy’ between art and manufacture, and a visual feature curated by Hoo Fan Chon reimagining everyday objects as works of art.
